Already hard hit by the COVID pandemic, nonprofits across Napa and Sonoma Counties are facing greater demand than ever to support their communities dealing with the devastation of this year’s Northern California wildfires. With deep gratitude, Compass real estate professionals have teamed up to respond, donating $65,000 to 17 Wine Country nonprofit organizations.

“These are our neighbors and friends who are suffering from these overwhelming losses due to the fires,” says Mark A. McLaughlin, President of Compass California. “We need to be there to help in every way we can, especially through this year’s holiday season.”

These agencies provide a range of services for Wine Country residents including mental health treatment for children badly impacted by the fires, food banks, animal shelters, and volunteer fire departments.

The agencies receiving funds from the Compass team’s donations include:

Cappell Valley Volunteer Fire Department

Cloverdale Citrus Fair

Corazon Healdsburg

Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department

First Responders Resiliency

Geyserville Volunteer Firefighter Association

Humane Society

Napa Community Animal Response Team

North Bay Animal Services

Petaluma People Services

Redwood Empire Food Bank

Sonoma CART

Sonoma County Resiliency Fund

Boys and Girls Club of St. Helena & Calistoga

UpValley Family Center

Wildfire Mental Health Fund

Youth Voices for Mental Health

The community organizations receiving this funding were selected by the real estate professionals, employees and leadership from Compass who live in and serve their clients in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

Thank you, Sonoma and Napa community service organizations. For your wild fire relief efforts, and your resiliency and love of community. We stand with you.
