As a Bay Area native, Simone attended Carlmont High School, played soccer, went on consecutive mission trips with her St. Charles Parish, and cheered on her brother at St. Francis baseball games. While at the University of Arizona, she studied journalism and channeled her passion for writing into a position as a beat writer for the Oakland A’s.
